Two-day Classroom course for service company Coiled Tubing Engineers, Supervisors and Operators
This course will provide students an opportunity to be competent in the Planning, Preparation, Make-up, and Running of Coiled Tubing Tools.
There are five modules, Basic Tools, Milling/Rotational Tools, Fishing Tools, Abandonment tools and stuck pipe prevention. There is a multiple-choice questionnaire after each Module. The required pass mark on all modules is 85%. Certificates will only be issued to those that pass. Electronic copies of all results/certificates will be passed on to customer management.

Identifying the key Coiled Tubing tools and components used in well interventions.
Maintenance and inspection procedures for CT tools.
Selection criteria for downhole tools and equipment.
Pre run checks.
BHA make-up procedures.
Function testing.
Best practices & running procedures.
Post run tool maintenance

5 Day hands-on Coiled Tubing Tool courses are also available at your facility for Coiled Tubing Engineers, Supervisors and Operators
Split between Classroom & Work-shop. This course incorporates the two-day Classroom course for Coiled Tubing Engineers, Field Supervisors and Operators.

Along with all the pre-run testing and checks that need to be performed out on location. Our two-day course will enhance your personnel in technical skills, practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to successfully complete these Thru Tubing projects.
Service company supervisors, engineers and equipment operators involved in running Coiled Tubing Tools For Thru-Tubing Interventions.
There will always be a need for dedicated tool companies but there is a growing trend where the service companies are performing more specialized projects themselves. Another part of our mission is to pass on our knowledge and experience to the service companies and their personnel to be successful in these more challenging projects. With competency certificates being issued for successful candidates, this will give the operating companies confidence to undertake these projects successfully and put your company ahead of others.
Our instructor Monty Mortimer, is passionate about his subject and dedicated to helping every student succeed. He will create a positive learning environment that encourages engagement that fosters growth.
Monty was one of the pioneers in Thru Tubing / Coiled Tubing Tools in the North Sea and Middle East and has over 40 years’ experience in Thru Tubing Intervention. He started in the Oil Field in 1981 with OTIS Pressure Control specializing in Coiled Tubing & Snubbing. Monty worked his way up to Senior Coiled Tubing Supervisor in the North Sea before traveling to the USA with Tri-State Oil Tools in 1991, successfully completing a 6-month fast track Thru Tubing course. He then returned to the UK and set up the first Thru Tubing Base covering Europe and the North Sea.
Monty then went on to start the first Thru Tubing base in the UAE in 1992, becoming the Thru Tubing Product line manager for the Middle East. Since then, Monty has worked in various positions, such as Senior Field Engineer for Asia Pacific, Global Technical Advisor, Technical Director, and Senior Thru Tubing Advisor & Assessor. He has overseen numerous international projects, several of which have been documented in technical publications.
